History of NewQ
NewQ queer space at 22 Enmore road in Newtown is a space for queers of all colours, genders, flavours and varieties and their friends, to get together in order to organise, have fun and form deeper and stronger bonds of community and resistance with each other. It’s an open space for all of us to experiment with a more inclusive and non-violent future.

The first discussion related to renovation, to determine the
configuration of furniture in the room, the floor was opened up to see
what events were wanting to be held here.
Kate - facilitating a HIV Outreach program, in combination with ACON
Hexy - could be combined with The Debbies (HIV sex workers outreach)
Kat - Jaffle Inn, potentially in conjuction with other events; Atheist

self-managed, non commercial, non alcohol-driven home away from home
for all crafty queers, gay nerds and kinky autonomistas. Come and share
your skills and develop a community with us! Members regularly run

the only two theme ideas that have been mentioned are gay nerds and men-scaring legends like medusa.
it sounds like we'll get allocated a colour we have to work with.
