meeting times: tuesdays sound good but people still have to answer the email i sent around.
mardi gras: we should have a float!
the only two theme ideas that have been mentioned are gay nerds and men-scaring legends like medusa.
it sounds like we'll get allocated a colour we have to work with.
sass will pass on all she knows about the registration process.
mardi gras specific meeting after queer reader next friday.
floor: our floor really really needs fixing. now that some of the masonite is ripped up, we discover some of our floor is concrete and some is old floorboards sitting directly on dirt.
the fancy patch of floor we laid is not going to work unless we fix everything.
gretchen's father is willing to put in the labour - with us, of course - and the bits and pieces like bricks, if we find floor boards.
grace will chase up northwood garage, mechaniky(?) and reverse garbage to see what we can get for free or cheap.
kate will find a tape measure and measure the floor.
we'll still need transport for whatever we find - any utes or vans available?
money: there's $300.70 in the bank and the debt is down $220, which is to be paid off through event takings.
we need a contingency plan for when we mess up, since once i'm finally paid back i'll be reluctant to lend again. actually building up savings is one possibility..
keys: grace hexy meela kate have keys, three more sets are missing.
ask everyone who might possibly have had a set. can anyone contact nat from iceland? she definitely had some.
anna boydell and jade oldfield have also cut themselves keys, which they may or may not be able to find.
film night: it's tomorrow and it seems it's happening. liz has offered her projector and films. grace is taking care of everything!
rubbish: the ripped up floor was going to be dealt with later in the job, but there's also been a huge amount of rubbish left behind in the space, against policy. beer bottles, mouldy bread, general rubbish. we took it out at the end of the meeting. hopefully people will be more respectful once grace has finished the list of expectations.
posters: we need more, regularly. hexy and grace will do some on sunday nights, but ought to bring our own paper. i'll unearth some.
